This map uses the July 2026 BBMP tree census, published by OpenCity. It is a snapshot, not a guarantee that a tree is still there or every tree has been counted.
Photographs of trees were not available in the census data. They are sourced from multiple sources and appropriate attribution and license information have been specified. So they are reference images, not photographs of the individual mapped tree or verification of the census identification.
“Others” means the source does not identify a species. Common names are added search aliases; botanical names are the census labels. Location accuracy can vary, especially between neighbouring trees.
"Near me" asks for your permission and shows recorded trees within 500 m. Your coordinates are sent only to this app’s server for the lookup, not stored in a database.
